You’re the designated gunner, you’re on patrol… and yes, you’re a target. It’s your assignment to be the bait and to draw fire; it sucks, but it’s your job. At least you have the fire-power to keep bad-guys at bay…
…Or make them pay.
You're the gunner, but you're not in control and no matter what your instincts tell you, you can't run away from this one. There’s no front line. When you’re on patrol or escorting a convoy you are always dead center in the middle of trouble. Once you’re off base, you’re in “Indian Country” and anything can happen. One thing's for sure, something will happen.
The rules of engagement are simple; if they are armed and they’re shooting at you, they are the “bad” guys and you have unrestricted license to let them have it… The only thing keeping you and your buds from harm is your weapon, you’ve got plenty of ammo and you don’t have to pay for it. So hit them hard with everything you’ve got, you have the fire power to make the difference.
