Even without the visual and audio appeal of a flashy baseball "simulation" game, OOTP 10 holds its own as a true simulator. I will venture to say that if you are not already a fan of baseball, this is probably not the best way to initiate contact (though you will undoubtedly learn a lot about the game if you stick with it.) For those fans of true simulation, especially those that want to go one-on-one online against friends or strangers, this game offers a plethora of content and flexibility. Returning fans of the series will find a nice mix of familiar features and some fresh new content. If you love baseball and numbers, then this is definitely a game to satisfy your needs. Batter up, play ball!

For a game that's all about numbers, Out of the Park Baseball X is pretty true to life. What else can you say about a sports simulation that dishes out a few dozen stats about your clean-up slugger but also lets you know when his wife lands him on the DL after clobbering him with a frying pan? Little down-to-earth anecdotes such as this make the latest addition to this long-running baseball sim feel awfully human, giving you a few chuckles and making you feel like you're managing flesh-and-blood ballplayers rather than robotically tracking columns of ratings and statistics.

I feel that the new features of Out of the Park Baseball 10 justify purchase even if you have a previous version of the game. Accurate rosters down to the rookie leagues? Check. Enhanced salary arbitration? Check. Individual pitch ratings? Check .... the game as a whole is terrific and earns the highest score. For aspiring managers everywhere, Out of the Park Baseball 10 is highly recommended.

...If I had to describe OOTP and why you should give it a shot, I’ll just say that I was browsing through OOTP X and noticed that the tag-line for the game read, "It’s your game; Play it your way!" and it instantly clicked. That phrase perfectly conveyed what the game was about and explained exactly why OOTP X (and the series in general) is so awesome.
